Cigarettes and Lighter:-

Smoking has been a common convention associated with this particular genre of film since its birth. Earlier years have suggested smoking as classically being an attractive/seductive trait which fits the dark and sensual side of the Film Noir Genre very well.
Our Femme Fatale character as well as our male protagonist are both seen to smoke in our Film as we feel it fits the classic notion of the genre and appears authentic. The fact that both of our leading characters smoke is not only for artistic effect, but also proves as an initial meeting between the pair. The cigarettes that they share in this important meeting helps mould the rest of the film as the relationship between them is the vital element in our narrative.
 Chloe's Fur Coat:-

The addition of the infamous fur coat to Chloe's wardrobe is not only an outfit choice, but a symbol of what her character stands for. Fur as a possession represents themes of glamour, seduction and most importantly, wealth. Chloe uses her alluring appearance and glamour to seduce her prey (Detective Ray). She also committed the atrocity of murder in order to gain her husbands wealth and fortune. Due to these vital facts present in our narrative, we feel that the Fur coat embodies the iconic traits in Chloes character that gain her the title, 'Femme Fatale'.

BB Gun:-

The ultimate climax of our film is in the final seconds, where Femme Fatale, Chloe shoots Detective Michael Ray dead with one fatal gun shot.
As a group, we decided to keep our bb- Gun pellet free, to ensure a level of Health and Safety for all group members present when filming with the prop itsself.
The idea of a shooting is always present throughout the film from the moment the audience are made aware of a murder/shooting case (in which Detective Ray is involved with). The murder weapon itsself is then discovered by the Detective later on in the bedroom scene, again appearing in the Churchyard finale. In this final part of our film, Chloe holds the gun behind her back throughout the entire scene, allowing the audience dramatic irony and foreshadow the climatic events yet to come.

Fake Blood:-

The climax of which our entire film has been leading up to is the shocking murder of Detective RaysceneIn our film, a pivotal scene in the film is the death of our Protagonist, Detective Michael Ray. At the hands of evil Femme Fatale, Chloe, Ray is inflicted with a single gun wound to the heart. In order to add a sense of realism and authenticity to the pivitol death scene, we decided as a group to use fake blood - This allowed the scene to gain an added dramatic and visual effect, as well as taking group members safety into account at all times.
